TATTENHALL VILLAGE SHOW 2024

The Tattenhall Annual Show was held on Sunday 1st September and it was a busy and successful one!

The show had over 80 exhibitors, young and not so young, across many entry classes – flowers, fruit, vegetables, cooking, photography, craft and art.

It takes a large team of volunteers (stewards, judges, cake bakers, tea makers, table shifters etc.) from all across the village and a great deal of planning to make the whole thing possible. So it was really delightful to see this traditional Village event so well supported and attended by the community. 

Huge thanks to all who took time to enter or visit and to all the volunteers who made this show possible – we couldn’t do it without you. 

Our thanks also go to the Bolesworth estate who provided financial sponsorship towards the cost of hiring the Barbour Institute.

A very special thank you goes to Andy Scarratt (& family) who has put in an amazing 20 years as Show Secretary.  This is the pivotal role in organising the show and we literally couldn’t have done it without his calm, conscientious presence before each show and diligent crunching of names and numbers on the show podium. Thank you Andy – not sure how we’ll manage now you’ve stepped down (don’t leave the country!!)
